Questions for Podcasting

1. Most podcasts are free of charge, so in order for them to make some amount of money they have to have commercials. In non-profit contexts, podcasts are the best way to spread information without having to spend money. Non- profit organization's main focus is getting their message out there and they more people who support that message the better. For academic contexts, the podcast allows interaction between the listener so the person can listen however they want and pause it and play it back.

2. The speaker says that podcasting extends the message because podcasts have both the video and audio aspects of communication. All podcasts are different in their own ways but they all take information and go in further detail then a written document ever would. Some podcasts provide a visual and it is much easier to learn something when you can hear and see it. The ones that don't provide a visual are usually harder to understand.

3. The speaker says that podcasts encourage action. Podcasts allow people to think and feel anyway they do about what they hear. Most of the time the podcasts are sharing information that is coming very many different users ideas.

4. The three critical elements of development for a successful media are: entertainment, educating and persuading someone to actually go out and do something. Podcasts have to grab the attention of the listener and draw them in. People really rely on podcasts that are easier to listen and understand to. After a user subscribes to a podcast they can then download that onto any device they want like an iPod or their phone and bring it anywhere to listen to.

5. Podcasts are all over the world and we don't even know it. Podcasts gives people links to other sites or web pages that are talked about throughout the podcast. In todays world so many companies or business have podcast to share with consumers that are easy to access and give you great information.
